Acts of Service
Yesterday seemed to be a pretty normal day....layed out for awhile and then went for a short run. I went to my Explorer to leave and lo and behold, it wouldn't start (stupid Ford....Fix Or Repair Daily....acronym of Ford). I didn't have the cell phone with me and there weren't any pay phones that I could see there at the park. I went up to some lady and asked if she knew if there were any pay phones. She ended up letting me use her cell phone. I called the house and my cell...neither of which Jonathan answered. Mom and Dad were out of town so they wouldn't have been any help. Well, I left messages for Jonathan (one of which was not very nice and should not have been said.....I was a little frustrated) hoping that he would get them soon. A half hour passed and nothing so I finally went up to another lady and she let me use her phone and I called dad to have him try to find Jonathan. Another half hour later, Jon picked me up. The amazing thing about the whole fiasco was that in my entire hour of sitting there, half way out of the parking spot cause that's where it died, hazard lights on, not one person, NOT ONE, came and asked if I needed help. One lady was even parked right next to me and there was such little room between her car and mine that she could barely squeeze in. Never ever did she ask if I needed help. Ah! If I'd have been in Bellefontaine, I wouldn't have been there for more than 15 minutes without someone asking me if I needed help. People at the park had to inch their way around my car...never asked. I was absolutely astounded. I couldn't believe the lack of care and service these people had.
